Depends on the clubs- Titleist putters (Scotty Cameron) are #1, but Adams has the most hybrids on tour and TaylorMade the most drivers. The ProV1 is the most popular ball. But also keep in mind that tour players have all custom equipment- not the clubs you can buy in the store!

A handicap is an attempt to allow players of different skill levels to play against each other fairly. It has absolutely nothing to do with par.

In a competition, each player will deduct the number of strokes in the "course handicap" from their score.

So, if you have a 12 handicap on that course, and you shoot 85, your net score will be 73. If another player has a 9 handicap and shoots 85, their net score will be 76. You would beat that player.

It has absolutely nothing to do with par.

In reality, it's a little complicated. Each course is given two numbers: a Course Rating, which says how well an expert will play the course, and a Slope Rating, which says how much more difficult it will be for a Bogey golfer. Neither of these numbers has anything to do with par.

You work for yourself. Just get a set of fins, mask and snorkel, and get proficient in their use. Bear in kind that diving has some risk, so be careful and follow the rules, always, and never dive alone. At least have a safety person standing by that can pull you out if necesary.

Then just go to any golf course (with permission), and dive for lost golf balls (and there will be thousands on the bottom...more than you could ever recover). Take the ones you salvage, clean them up and sell them for 5 balls for a dollar to golfers. They use them for practice balls.

As long as you don't make over $500.00, I don't think you have to report it to the IRS.

My best friend and I used to take turns diving, while the other acted as the Safety and Salvage Officer. I'd have a rope tied to my waist, and a tow-sack with a rope tied to it with me. I'd fill the sack with balls, then tug on the rope, and he would pull the bag in. If I got in trouble (which never happened, luckily), I would give three quick tugs, he would dive in and rescue me. Then, we'd switch positions (so that niether of us got too tired), and he would go down with the bag.

At age 13-16, we both made enough money to have to pay Income Tax. We'd each clear around $200.00 a week, plus all the other neat stuff we'd find in the process, like lost fishing equipment, etc...

I never worked for anybody until I was drafted in the Marines in the late 1960s. I always made more money working for myself. I still do.

Life is an adventure....Enjoy it!

Haha you must have just been watching Pitch Men. I work at my gold course's driving range and the ball divers are self employed. Basically, you just talk with the higher ups at the course and make sure its okay. However, some courses pick up the balls themselves to be resold in their pro shop.

Sounds like a great way to play 18 holes. This kind of golf will become very popular. There won't be any angry wives. A golfers wife would never believe he would let sex interfere with his golf game. At least sex with his wife. The neighbors of the golf course taped them performing sex acts. That's a normal thing people do. When you see people having sex you film it. I know I always do. Lets hope this catches on. Maybe midgets at miniature golf courses.

I personally don't believe that you can't be nervous at all! I think everybody, including professional golfers, gets a little bit nervous. I don't know what else to say other than keep playing in tournaments. Or maybe when playing casual rounds with friends, start making bets on those rounds of golf. So that way, you get used to playing under pressure.

Myrtle is the best place for a guy's trip, and it's pretty affordable as well.

Hilton Head is more expensive, has less nightlife and stuff that 20-something guys want to do, and really isn't a value destination. I prefer Hilton Head to Myrtle when going on family trips, but if I was going with buddies I'd do Myrtle.

I would get some small PVC pipe and attach them to each other with Elbows (not sure the real word for them). Then just go buy some like fishing net and thread it through the PVC pipe. be sure to get enough materials for the stand for the back of the net. I would make it look like an upside down hockey goal if that makes any sense...

Myrtle obviously is your best bet, but starting after Memorial Day, it gets super crowded with family vacations, and that is right about when the grammar schools get out so the beach will be swarming with little kids- but, if you insist on staying on the beach in June, there are penty of hotels/condos available that offer golf packages but expect the rates to be high. Check out myrtlebeachgolfholiday and you can book your hotel and tee times. Because of the crowds, expect to be in the car for a long time going to/from the hotel and courses- plan on being late for your tee time. I have gotten stuck on the strand and taken 3 hours to go 3 miles.

They should havwe been arrested, the managers/the stripper/whores/ and the johns. It is illegal in most locations to pander.
If my husband went to a golf tournament and the management provided him with stripper/hookers I would sue them for alienation of affection/pandering/pimping and own that management company.
He wouldn't DO anything with them, but they were there--HE would be the one suing.
He thinks whores and strippers are low-lifes. I think they and their cheating sh8&^ clients are low-lifes, too.

He thinks whores and strippers are low-lifes. I think they and their cheating sh8&^ clients are low-lifes, too.

Hi,
I am just like you. I'm 14 and in alot of junior golf tournaments. The front nine I might go out and shoot a 40 which is good for me. But then last week on my 10th hole I hit a horrible hook and i had to take a drop. I ended up getting an 8 on the hole which ruined my whole mindset. I ended up shooting a 51. So the reason why Tiger is so good is because he can forget about the 1 shot he hit bad and still try and make it up. He doesn't carry his anger on which would end up ruining the rest of his round. He forgets about that shot and trys to make up for it.
I hope this info helped.

Target- Walmart- Play it again sports

It's just a bag...it doesn't matter what type you get (however I do reccommend a stand bag). Cheaper the better as you are new to the game. Also call your local golf courses...they probably know some good contacts.

I won't use anything higher than a 9.5. It puts the ball into the air, and you can get into trouble. 8.5 is not too low, just practice, and you should be able to control it even more with lower trajectory.

I've been golfing for over 20 years and a 8.5 degree driver is too low for me. I use a ten degree Adams Tight Lies driver and that is perfect. Newer golfers should use a ten degree or 10.5 degree driver at first, then work their way down to whatever they feel most comfortable with.

The other guys statement is correct, but he didn't really answer the question. The tour pros do have a great yardage book, in fact most of them use a book specially designed for the course they're playing, not available to anyone except them. Then they have a pin sheet with the pin location for the entire week and their respective yardages on the green.

However, even armed with all this information, you are correct, the yardages are still not exactly correct.

But you have to remember a golfer has to take many things into account when pulling a club, and this is a golfer at any level of play. For instance, I take these things into account when I pull a club:

1) Lie - rough or fairway? Uphill, Downhill, Sidehill?
2) Wind - Speed and Direction
3) Temperature? Hot or cold?
4) Is the green soft or hard?
5) Do I need to hit the shot around an obstacle?
6) Do I need to curve this shot to get to the pin?

These are just a few of the many things a golfer has to take into account when figuring out which club to hit, it's not just strictly yardage driven. Although yardage will give you a good baseline target to start your computations.

Remember this, many people consider Ben Hogan the greatest ball striker and iron player of all time......he NEVER used a yardage book. That statement should tell you everything you need to know.

Hope this helps!

That's not too low. It'll give you a nice low long drive. Great for a course that you don't have to deal with big hills on the fairway.

Professional golfers and their caddies spend hours walking off and measuring the course from various points (such as the sprinkler heads, rocks, etc) to the middle of the green in the days preceeding the tournament and hit many shots from those points during practice rounds -- which is why if you've ever watched an early week PGA practice round, you see golfers hitting multiple balls from one spot on almost every hole. Then, each day of the tournament, the caddies go out and find the hole placement and walk off how far it is from the center of the green.
All of this information is on that little book (pad of paper) that the caddy or golfer carries and occationally TV shows them looking at.

Professional golfers and their caddies spend hours walking off and measuring the course from various points (such as the sprinkler heads, rocks, etc) to the middle of the green in the days preceeding the tournament and hit many shots from those points during practice rounds — which is why if you’ve ever watched an early week PGA practice round, you see golfers hitting multiple balls from one spot on almost every hole.
My 10 y.o. son has just played in a mini competition. 2 groups of 2 players. Him and his friend tee'd off first. Two other 13 y.o. boys followed. Throughout the game the 2 other boys were casuing problems and constantly calling over and asking them their scores. They were also swearing (F. hell, that ball nearly hit him) as they were coming too close behind and whacking balls at the 2 front boys. The boys at front asked them to be quiet whilst they took a shot, they were shouted at 'shut you mouth' which I heard from the clubhouse. They said to the boys if the don't tell them their scores they will tell the owner that they are cheating. Not enough room for other comments. One of those boys with the behaviour won the prize! What do I do? concerned mum
If you cheat and be abusive you win prizes!

First you need to clean all and i mean all the corrosion off the cables and battery post use a wire brush, screwdriver, knife or whatever it takes to get it. Then clean it with baking soda and water can also be used . After the cables are clean and tight on the post cote them with dielectric grease or grease used for electric connections.

you should put vasoline on the battery heads.. that will stop corrosion there.. make sure to scrub off all the corrosive buildup first... but I think you just need to replace the cable. when buying a new cable- make sure it has a good plasic coating.

No. that stuff will solidify. They sell stuff at the auto store that is both conductive and made to protect your cables and posts. Get the proper product for the application.

You'll need liability insurance to prevent being sued in case of injury--whereever balls and sticks are flying around, there will be stupid people.

If you're talking about building codes, you need to check with your local county/city engineer for those.

Otherwise, get an attorney to help you. He/she should know what rules you need to follow and where to look for them. Or you will get some general information when you apply for your business license.

Go to the planning and zone department at city where you are contemplating you project. And ask what you will need and if you can do it. Good Luck
